  1. Walk me through how you'd design a microservice for global security policy distribution that needs to stay highly available across regions — what happens when one region's network partitions from the rest?
From the posting: “responsible for the design, development, and operation of key microservices focused on global security policy distribution, traffic optimization and insights related that our Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access products offer.e.g.Unified Policy, and key Distribution Engine related that our Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access products offer”
  2. Say you're on the Meraki Network Connectivity team and a customer reports that their switches are experiencing intermittent L2/L3 connectivity drops after a recent firmware rollout - but it only reproduces at scale in their data center, not in your lab. How do you triage this 'complex network regression'?
From the posting: “Develop networking components that are simple, scalable, and highly available. Triage complex network regressions and enhance system debug ability to ensure superior customer experience.”
  3. Tell me about a time when you had to simplify a networking component to make it more scalable. What was the trade-off you made?
