The Amazon Fulfillment Technologies team in Hyderabad is looking for a System Development Engineer to manage all aspects of mission-critical services. Our team of engineers innovate, automate, drive process and service improvements and manage highly available systems that power Amazon fulfillment network worldwide. We are looking for a System Development Engineer to join our team of fungible engineers helping drive strategic initiatives within the AFT. As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have deep hands on experience designing and developing highly scalable and highly available systems.
You will also have experience partnering closely with product, science and operations stakeholders to deliver critical new features and products for the business. Key job responsibilities - Interface with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes. - Monitor and maintain systems performance & capacity planning using metrics. - Work on expansions of current applications to support new launches - Work on customer issues to identify problems and develop solutions to avoid recurrence by addressing root causes. - Create processes and systems that can be leveraged to help drive efficiencies and quality
About the team
Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers Amazon’s global fulfillment network. We invent and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that orchestrate processes, robots, machines, and people. The Platform Engineering and Services team under AFT organization helps business and regional operations teams expand the fulfillment network by setting up necessary technology services for new buildings.
Basic qualifications
- 1+ years of systems development experience - Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust - Experience with Linux/Unix
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes - Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline - Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
