Interview prep: questions this posting points to

Written from 8 current Cloud postings on Microsoft's own careers page — not questions Microsoft has asked.

  1. Walk me through how you'd design a full-stack feature where the front end is React/TypeScript and the backend is a .NET Web API that needs to integrate with Dynamics 365 and Dataverse for a seller-facing workflow. How do you decide what logic lives in Dataverse plugins versus your API layer?
From the posting: “Design and implement solutions leveraging Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and related Microsoft business applications." / "full-stack development expertise across UI, API, service, domain, data, and integration layers, with proficiency in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular or React”
  2. You're the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) on call and a critical seller-facing service built on Dynamics 365/Dataverse starts throwing elevated error rates during a sales quarter-end push. Walk me through what you do in the first 15 minutes.
From the posting: “Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions”
  3. Tell me about a time when you had to translate a vague or complex customer need into a clear technical design. How did you approach that, and what did you learn?
From the posting: “Applies user‑centered design principles to translate customer needs into clear technical requirements and scalable solution designs through iterative prototyping and feedback”
